MEET OUR COACHING STAFF
Coach Mike, Commissioner
Coach Mike is the one of the founders of the Carolina Hornets Basketball organization. He is dedicated to helping our youth to grow and develop, through a game the game that had such a major impact on his life. Coach Mike believes that basketball provides so many life lessons. It also allows opportunities for teachable moments. Especially when he is able to coach. When asked what he thinks of basketball. He gives you for simple words. "I LOVE this game!" |

Coach Greene
Coach Michael Greene has been coaching the game of basketball for over 40 years. The first 20 years of his coaching career was spent focusing on the coaching aspect of the game; the last 20 years have been spent both coaching and ministering. Coach Greene uses basketball as bait to introduce young men to the word of God. He can often be heard speaking these words: "What started out as a passion, has now become purpose."

Coach Bumpass
Coach Carl Bumpass, originally, from the big city of Roxboro (now Bull City), brings a plethora of knowledge to the game and organization.
He coached anything from tee ball in the General Electric Basketball League, to tee ball, assisting his son in coaching his 2 grand daughters in the game of basketball for the last 10 years.
He has an impleccable talent for "recognizing athletic talent and grit." Coach Carl is a culturally responsive leader and a champion for the children.

Coach C, a proud native of Durham, NC has dedicated over 15 years to coaching and mentoring young athletes in the local community. His love for the game of basketball is enhanced by his passion to develop the next generation of talent to push towards fostering their full potential and talent.
Coach Cee's coaching philosophy goes beyond wins and losses - it is centered on building character, instilling discipline, and promoting teamwork among the young athletes that come under his tutelage. Beyond the scope of a mentor, he is also considered a role model to the countless youth who look up to him for guidance, support, and inspiration.

Coach Harrison hails to the Hornets organization from Nashville, NC.
His desire to coach stems from his desire to be a part of the solution. He wants to help young people reach their goals. Coach Harrison believe in motivating youth and want to I want to push them further they can imagine. He is quoted sharing these simple words, "At the end of the day out time together, our growth together will determine our success."

Take the hours of training and my commitment to excellence. Please use it to bring joy and inspiration to others. Take my desire to be the best in sport I can be.
